the 65e Cane Festival which will take place from May 16 to 27, 2012 has a recruit from the fashion world.

Jean-Paul Gaultier is the first fashion designer to be part of the jury of the Cannes festival

Fashion's enfant terrible will be part of the prestigious jury chaired by Italian director Nanni Moretti.

The famous French couturier had already worked with cinema. Jean-Paul Gaultier designed the costumes for famous directors and their films which have become cult: "Kika" by Pedro Almodovar, "The Fifth Element" by Luc Besson ou “The City of Lost Children” by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Passionate, at just 60 years old, Jean-Paul Gaultier is an ardent cinephile.

He has never stopped multiplying, working for dance, music and cinema. His wish to be part of the Cannes Festival jury has finally been granted!
