During the first lockdown, Burger King shared the recipe for his famous Whooper. Today, it is a great proof of solidarity to be saluted on the part of the fast food chain which, thanks to a publication in Le Journal du Dimanche encourages the French to continue ordering to support restaurateurs.

Burger King puts its long-standing competitor in the spotlight.

The rivalry that has pitted Burger King and Mac Donald so many times in so many famous campaigns has found a truce this time for noble reasons. We are all in the same boat, this is the message that Burger King wishes to convey to support all its colleagues in the catering industry, heavily affected by its phases of confinement. This second confinement risks being fatal for many of them who employ thousands of workers. We must therefore try to stick together with each other.

An international initiative

This great idea is spreading internationally since the CMO of Restaurant Brands International asked the French teams to Buzzman to send him an English version so that he can share it on his social networks, such as LinkedIn. Machado says he hopes this publication "helps draw attention to some local businesses that probably wouldn't have gotten this exposure otherwise." This publication is also visible in the newspaper The Team, as well as on top the brand's social networks.
